Title versus ability

Titles do not grant ability. ABILITY grants ability. I've seen this, often, in martial arts (belt recognition), religions, politics and companies. Locked inside perception exists the Peter Principle---one of the most valuable concepts I've ever studied. What allows this to be? To be qualified one must PROVE oneself capable of doing a thing---if not able to do so, the person simply is not qualified. Can a person train or be trained to eventually attain a thing? Absolutely---but with effort. Without effort, there can be no action or true attainment.

---for a person can be promoted to the point of incompetence, believing the title, alone, can guarantee position and action, knowing this is not the case but remaining in denial until the eventual expulsion.
